Dr. L.D. Peck O.D.

Larry D. Peck, O.D., a third generation optometrist in the Peck family, earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry. He completed an externship at North Memphis Health Center where he specialized in glaucoma treatment and geriatric care. He was the first optometric physician in Iowa to receive a Controlled Substances Registration.

He joined his father to practice at the Fort Madison Eye Clinic. Dr. Peck specializes in primary eye care including specialty contact lenses, diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, and in-office foreign body removal surgery.

Dr. Peck has published a number of articles on eye care for children and adults. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Iowa Optometric Association. Dr. Peck is an active member of the Lions Club and Chamber of Commerce.

Taishna (Tish) Novak

Tish currently resides in Fort Madison with her husband of 10 years and four wonderful children. She began her employment at Fort Madison Eye Clinic in February 2012 as the front desk receptionist and customer service representative. Her responsibilities include helping patients schedule their appointments, check in to see Dr. Peck and assist each patient on their insurance coverage and options. She also helps patients in choosing the right frames and lenses when the Optician Assistant is busy helping others.

Tish enjoys coming to work every day and looks forward to meeting new patients as well as maintaining relationships with current patients. She truly enjoys what she does especially when she has the opportunity to help patients shop for new frames and deems it the most enjoyable part of her job to fit frames to each patient’s style and personality!

Chantelle Runyon

Chantelle currently resides in rural West Point where she takes pride in raising and caring for a number of farm animals with her husband and children. She began her employment at Fort Madison Eye Clinic in 2014 as the Optician Assistant. Chantelle performs the pretesting on patients and assists them in choosing the correct frames to fit their profile and personality and lifestyle.

Chantelle enjoys assisting Dr. Peck in helping patients through their entire office visit. She feels the most beneficial part of her job is being able to help new and existing patients see clearer and find confidence in their “new look”. She loves building friendships with everyone that walks in the clinic and finds pleasure in knowing she has made her patients smile!
